Planet Generator

About

A procedural planet generator that uses a clever templating system and a mildly terrifying shader to produce an endless stream of alien planets.

The description, appearance, and basic stats are all linked properly, so if the description says the plants are blue, the vegetation-covered parts of the surface are shown as blue, and so on. It should also mostly avoid impossibilities like land-dwelling creatures on water worlds.

Planet Generator as this quote says is a game that generates planets. There isn't an end game or any goals other than pressing the generate button until you get a planet you really like.

You are able to save planet you like as they have a unique ID number you can put back into the generator. And you are able to get a flat map of the planet's surface too.

Summary

This is really useful for anyone who needs quick world building ideas for say a role-playing game or science fiction. It is also just satisfying to keep pressing the generate button to get another planet.

It would be nice if it works on iOS but for some reason it doesn't want to show the planet on my iPad. Although building stuff for Apple is tricky and annoying because Apple sucks.

As of 1st Sep 2022 the game now works on IOS! Or at least on my iPad, not sure why it didn't work before.

Anyway, it would also be nice if the size statistic affected the size of the planet generated. But as usual I feel I'm being nitpicky because this is a really nice game.
